Mountain Leader Assessment 2025

‘Mountain Training - To inspire, enable and develop people in walking, climbing and mountaineering through the
provision of nationally and internationally recognised skills training and leadership courses.’

Assessment is modular and run over two long weekends.

You need a minimum of 40 Quality Mountain Days
Candidates must have attended a Mountain training course (or have been granted exemption)
Candidates must have physically attended and completed (i.e. not online) a first aid course which involved
at least two full days or sixteen hours of instruction and included an element of assessment.
