Meet the Staff
Pete Goldsmith
Pete holds the Mountaineering Instructors Certificate (MIC) and the International Mountain Leader Award (IML). He has been climbing and mountaineering at home and abroad for 30 years and for the last twenty, has been directing ML, HML and RCI training and assessment.
Emile Waite-Taylor
Emile has been playing outdoors for over thirty years in a wide range of activities and has been instructing and assessing on the Mountain Leader and Hill and Moorland Leader for over eleven years. Emile is also a D of E assessor.
Mark Joyce
After many years in a full time job in engineering, Mark now spends most of his spare time in the mountains. Over the past 35 years he has been very active in canoeing, caving, sailing and skiing though more recently concentrating his efforts in mountaineering.
Nicola Yalland
Nicola is an experienced Summer Mountain Leader and a UKCC level 2 Paddle Sports Coach. She works as a freelance instructor to provide training in the UK and overseas. Nic has travelled extensively spending time in the Alps, Dolomites, Andes, Himalaya and New Zealand Southern Alps.
James Andrews
James is a fulltime instructor working at a further education college delivering outdoor adventurous activities. Additionally, he regularly instructs in his spare time delivering activities to a variety of people.
