In February, I accompanied Mark Joyce to the Beaufortain to prepare for his IML Winter Assessment. Alongside the rest of his family, Fern, Chris and Jo, we spent the first week piste skiing, ski touring and snowshoeing under blue skies in deep snow. Temperatures warmed up during the week but the snow held out remarkably well. Later that week we met up with Adam Calder who was also doing the assessment.

The second week, as mark and Adam successfully went about their assessment, I was joined by John and Georgia for some more snowshoeing on an increasingly diminishing snow cover. The weather changed on the say we all left to return home
