Pete is a Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor (WMCI) and an International Mountain Leader (IML). He has been climbing and mountaineering at home and abroad for over 40 years and for the last 30, has been directing ML, HML, Lowland Leader and RCI training and assessment.
Pete is also a qualified teacher and has been a Head of Outdoor Pursuits and EVC at a large comprehensive school. He is an expert at organising school visits, managing risk and facilitating activities in the outdoors. He also has a deep understanding of and interest in mountaineering history and the outdoor environment
We run a range of Mountain Training Courses. The courses are mainly modular and many set dates for these are over weekends. They include the Mountain Leader, Hill and Moorland Leader and Lowland Leader. The Rock Climbing Instructor can be organised as required. If you have a group that would like to do an award, we can organise dates to suit your needs.

Pete Goldsmith
Pete holds the Mountaineering Instructors Certificate (MIC) and the International Mountain Leader Award (IML). He has been climbing and mountaineering at home and abroad for 30 years and for the last twenty, has been directing ML, HML and RCI training and assessment.
Mark Joyce
After many years in a full time job in engineering, Mark now spends most of his spare time in the mountains. Over the past 35 years he has been very active in canoeing, caving, sailing and skiing though more recently concentrating his efforts in mountaineering.
James Andrews
James is a fulltime instructor working at a further education college delivering outdoor adventurous activities. Additionally, he regularly instructs in his spare time delivering activities to a variety of people.
